What is PSYCH-K?

It is a key or change process using balance procedures that assist the mind to release limiting beliefs and adopt supporting beliefs to get you to the experiences you want to have in life.

Theory suggests 95% of our consciousness is in the subconscious, which is where our attitudes, values and beliefs are stored. The way we perceive the world comes from our beliefs, and we behave and act accordingly.
For example let's say a man called Jim has been unwilling to get on a plane ever since he overheard his mum talking about a bad experience she had on a flight when Jim was 4, so he has never flown and has no intention to. He perceives that flying is not safe and so he avoids it.
If Jim had positive beliefs about flying, he would perceive that it’s fine and safe to fly, and so would fly quite happily, having many trips abroad. Do you see how beliefs direct experiences? This illustrates how we create our own reality.

What is a PSYCH-K balance?

A PSYCH-K® balance is a process that increases the cross-talk between the two hemispheres of the brain and so achieving a ‘whole-brained state’.
I use a ‘do with’ the client approach, rather than a ‘do to’ approach to find the very best statements for new beliefs to support you in reaching your goals. Using gentle muscle response testing your subconscious is able to select the best PSYCH-K® tool to use. The balance procedures are gentle and quick.

It can be very difficult to make positive changes using willpower alone. We seem to need something more than good intentions or new years resolutions to achieve our goals or to think more positively in life. And while tools such as repeating affirmations, vision boards, talk therapies and reading self-help books can be very helpful, they are mostly limited to the conscious mind. To create lasting change working at the level of the subconscious mind (where beliefs are stored) is far more effective.

The conscious mind sets goals, has a short-term memory and a limited processing capacity – averaging 40 bits of information per second.

The subconscious mind is habitual, seeks out what is familiar and remembers everything, including all our past experiences and beliefs. It can process about 40 million bits of information per second. PSYCH-K® is a key that enables us to tap into this part of our minds - to change beliefs stored in the subconscious so that they support, rather than sabotage our goals.


What happens in a session?

We will discuss the areas in your life you are looking to change/improve, I will support you to create some great statements that are the very best beliefs you could have instead on the issue/s. There are a whole range of PSYCH-K® balances 'on the menu' for your subconscious to choose from using muscle response testing, we will do the balance procedure/s, which involve activities such as a sitting posture or movement-based activity. Finally I'll help you to set some achievable goals to help you take action and create the desired changes.


Who is PSYCH-K for?

PSYCH-K® is best suited to people who are ready for and committed to their own personal growth. It isn't a quick fix, though immediate changes can be experienced (and the tool to release stress is very effective for in the moment, lasting, relief). Also note that it may take more than one session to see the desired changes on an issue.
The key to real change is in the dedication to putting in the work and effort for yourself. To achieve fitness goals you'll have to exercise regularly and eat carefully. PSYCH-K® will support you at the level of thought, so that your resulting behaviour and actions are in alignment with your goal.
