Your body is talking. Are you still listening?

So you’ve chosen natural healing methods instead of, or alongside, medical care, yet your body still shows the same symptoms at times. It’s easy to think your efforts to heal aren’t working, the therapy isn’t working, it’s easy to return to ignoring them a little, and putting up with it. Equally it can be frustrating, and we can find ourselves ruminating about the discomfort. You’ve listened to your body, haven’t you? So why is it still talking!

I believe your own body loves you dearly and rather than being never-ending punishments, symptoms are continuous communications, life-long. This is how the body can tell us how life is going for us, how our lifestyle choices, how our attitudes are affecting us. Stress, late nights, coming down with a cold all feel bad; being grounded, getting enough good quality sleep, eating nutritious foods for us feel good.

So if issues are still presenting or have returned consider the following:

Healing happens in layers, not overnight – physical pain relief aside, understanding the root causes is also key. That can take time. Addressing the emotions that relate to the symptoms is key – what was going on at the time of the first arrival of the pain, accident or onset of the health problem? When I ask my clients this they can always report a significantly stressful event, even if they have to think about it for a bit first.

Are you making love-based choices for yourself now, instead of fear-centered ones? Once the acute pain or discomfort has eased, do you return to the same unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours? It’s easy to do. I believe the body, through the symptoms, patiently helps us to cultivate self-love, compassion and self-awareness.

You are hyper aware of the symptoms – we can be so focused on the issues that unknowingly we help to keep it in place, keeping it under the magnifying glass of our anxious attentions. Humans have an inbuilt survival technique to focus on what’s wrong, yes, but in focusing on compassion and acceptance towards the body instead, that helps bring in Love as the powerful force of healing that it is.

What would be the consequences of being well, healthy, confident? Would your family be okay with it? Is there a subtle sense of duty to stay small and weak lingering? Would being confident mean you’ve no excuses to stay unnoticed by the world, where being seen is actually a terrifying prospect, but you don’t know why?

The ego mind - in my understanding of it - always seeks to protect us from hurt. That can mean that it avoids creating a state of growth and empowerment if in the past you have been judged, ridiculed, or attacked when you spoke up – this could relate to your current life, past lives, or your ancestors’ own experiences. It can run that deep, and is common amongst all humans – we’ve all been there many times!

We can’t always see why the problem is there, or the depths of the sabotage/blocks. I can help you. Kinesiology is focused on finding the priority realms to apply healing attention – these are physical, biochemical (nutrition, toxins, allergies), emotional, and energetic/spiritual – this includes past experiences in this or other lives.

This is a brave, rewarding path, I believe in you.
